In 1994, David Schmidt founded A2 Resources, a
commercial credit consulting firm specializing in system improvement and cost
reduction. A graduate of The
University of Michigan, David began his commercial credit career in 1976 as a
business analyst with Dun & Bradstreet. Since then, he has managed credit
and collections departments for Remington Rand, Towa Corporation of David is a contributing editor
for Business Finance magazine
(formerly Controller Magazine) and has published numerous articles in other
periodicals including Business Credit, Corporate CashFlow, the Journal of
Working Capital Management, and the Credit and Financial Management Review.
He was also editor of The Credit Manager, a monthly newsletter published by
Warren, Gorham & Lamont and BusinessCreditLink, a monthly email newsletter
published by Business Finance. Recently, David co-authored “Power Collecting: Automation for Effective Asset Management," (1998, John Wiley & Sons, NYC), which deals with reengineering and automating the collection process. A current associate of the Credit Research Foundation, he has served as director of his local NACM chapter and chair of the National Food, Pharmaceutical and Vitamin Suppliers Credit Group. David has also presented workshops to industry credit groups and at credit conferences.
